Guaranteed Buyer sets 25 September auctions for 50 MW solar and 100 MW solar-plus-ESS quotas

Last editorial update:

Policy & RegulationInvestment / FinancingGenerationStorage / BESS

JSC Guaranteed Buyer will hold two support-quota auctions on 25 September 2026: 50 MW conventional solar (cap €0.08/kWh) and 100 MW solar PV combined with energy storage (cap €0.12/kWh). Hybrid projects require ESS capacity of at least 80 % of PV installed capacity and minimum 2 kWh/kW storage duration; support is paid only outside the 12:00-13:59 window. Eligible regions include several western and central oblasts plus Kyiv.

Why it matters

These are the near-term actionable support instruments for mid-sized solar and hybrid BESS projects. The explicit ESS requirements and time-of-day premium design favour flexible hybrid configurations that can deliver both energy and system services, directly supporting origination of 5-100 MW assets in regions of primary interest for Western/Central Ukraine portfolios.
