Guaranteed Buyer launches 150 MW solar and solar-plus-BESS support auctions

Last editorial update:

GenerationStorage / BESSPolicy & RegulationInvestment / Financing

JSC Guaranteed Buyer has opened two auctions for state support under the market-premium mechanism: 50 MW pure solar PV (ceiling €0.08/kWh) and 100 MW solar-plus-storage (ceiling €0.12/kWh). Storage must provide at least 80% of solar power capacity and 2 kWh per kW of solar. Eligible regions include Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Poltava and others (central/western relevance). Bid deadline 24 September, auction 25 September via Prozorro.Sale. Support applies outside the midday window (12:00–13:59).

Why it matters

Direct origination window for 5–100 MW hybrid and pure solar projects in central Ukraine. Higher premium for co-located BESS improves bankability of flexibility assets precisely where grid constraints and attack risk are elevated. Clears a concrete path to contracted revenue for investor decision-making ahead of winter.
