On 21 August 2026 the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) re-elected Yuriy Vlasenko as Chairman by secret ballot of its members. Vlasenko had completed a two-year term in early August; after a two-week interim chairmanship by Ruslan Slobodian the Commission returned him to the post, maintaining institutional continuity.
