On 18 August 2026 Russia conducted a massive attack on one of DTEK’s thermal power plants, causing significant damage to equipment and forcing the complete halt of electricity generation. No employees were injured. DTEK’s TPPs have been attacked more than 230 times since the full-scale invasion began. The company coordinated recovery efforts with Ukrenergo.
